Hello,
Request for help identifying this header
File is supposedly from a Samsung Note 8. A whole bunch of JPEGs can't be opened. Can't find any traces of JPEG markers in the files. All JPEGs start with this header, files are not identical.
Any clues would be very welcome.

Whilst I haven't seen that file header per se, I have seen something very similar in a case where .jpg files were added into a 'photo-vault' safe within a 'store-your-bad stuff in here' type application.
Have you checked to see whether or not there are any nefarious applications on list of installed apps on the phone?

Thanks! Unfortunately I do not have access to the device. I was just asked to repair the JPEGs which I do on a regular basis. But of course that's only possible if there's actual JPEG data in the file, which at this point there isn't.
And then I got curious about this header because I see it in all files, and though what better place to ask than here 😉
