Amped DVRConv Update 15182: Concatenation And Ability To Split Converted Files

Amped DVRConv Update 15182 is now available with even more parameters to the Program Options menu.

Concatenation

Are you working on a case in which the DVR has exported a certain amount of video in small chunks and need to quickly produce a viewable file of all these individual clips? No problem! We’ve now included the ability to concatenate converted input files into one single output video file.

Simply select Yes to Concatenate within the Program Options prior to conversion and DVRConv will do the rest for you, saving you valuable case work time.

This option is fantastic for a workflow involving common vehicle dashboard cameras, in which the incident is often captured over several segmented video clips, all large in size. Drag and drop them into DVRConv and let it run in the background while you continue with your other workload and you’ll have a converted and concatenated video before you know it!

Split Long Converted Files

We’ve already talked about the new ability to deal with concatenation for files that may be too short or segmented, but we’ve also included the ability to split video files that have a long duration and may need to be split for easier handling and viewing.

Once you’ve worked out the time duration you need to split the videos by (let’s say, for instance, you have a large file you need to split into hour-long files in order to facilitate easier viewing, enhancement or presentation) simply ensure the Split Converted Video option is set to Yes and type the time into the Portions duration box in either hours, minutes, seconds and milliseconds.

Alongside this, we’ve added support for 2 new file formats and 32 new variations of existing, already supported file formats, as well as 10 timestamp formats. The full list of supported formats can be found within the Amped DVRConv user guide after clicking the Help button when running the application.

So, what are you waiting for? Don’t delay – update today!

If you have an active support plan you can update straight away by going into the menu About > Check for Updates within Amped DVRConv. If you need to renew your SMS plan, please contact us or one of our authorized partners. And remember that you can always manage your licenses and requests from the customer support portal.
