Don Lukasic is a computer forensic examiner. He works for the Ada County Sheriff’s Office as well as the FBI. There are fewer than ten of these experts in the area and he’s one of them. “One case personally that I’ve worked, I believe it took me five or six months. It was a fairly large case,” Lukasic said. He says CP cases take a long time to process because they have to inspect the suspect’s computer from top to bottom. “One hard drive will take likely over two hours just to go in and examine. We think we’re catching up when all of the sudden, the flood gates open and we’re receiving a lot of cases and of course that’s going to create a backlog for us,” Lukasic said…
