In this role you will undertake the day to day management of the South East Counter Terrorism Unit’s (SECTU) Digital Investigations and Media Viewing Teams. This will involve conducting forensic examinations, and providing advice, guidance and support to staff and others in relation to the collection, management, clarification and presentation of computer, mobile phone, video, audio and other digital data.
You will be responsible for evaluating and prioritising requests from SECTU officers and staff as well as other agencies to ensure that the technical response is the most appropriate and effective. You will oversee and manage the retrieval of computer based systems, in accordance with national guidelines and download, analyse, copy, repair and clarify analogue and digital evidence to meet the highest evidential standards.
