Magnet Forensics Launches New Training Curriculum and AXIOM Certification

The training team at Magnet Forensics has opened registration for a new AXIOM certification, and unveiled two new courses, launching in 2017: AXIOM Examinations and IEF Examinations.

Magnet Certified Forensics Examiner (MCFE) – AXIOM

Our newest MCFE certification is now open for registration! You can save your seat now for the MCFE – AXIOM certification exams that will begin in 2017.

The Magnet Forensics certification program is designed to validate expert-level competence for forensics professionals. The MCFE – AXIOM will authenticate your knowledge and expertise of Magnet AXIOM, our digital investigation platform. This certification covers all areas of functionality in AXIOM – acquisition and extraction, analysis and examination, and sharing and reporting.Eligibility for the MCFE – AXIOM requires one of the following:

* Successful completion of the IEF Essentials and AXIOM – Transition courses, or
* (As of 2017) Successful completion of the AXIOM – Examinations course, or
* (As of 2017) Successful completion of the IEF – Examinations course and the AXIOM – Transition course.

New 2017 Training Curriculum

We have launched a new curriculum that gives examiners the most in-depth training on Magnet Forensics products! We are launching this new curriculum with two new courses that incorporate both theoretical learning and hands-on practical skills development.

AXIOM Examinations (AX200)

For Magnet AXIOM users, AXIOM Examinations is an intermediate level course for experienced forensics professionals who are working on cases with digital evidence from smartphones, computers, or both.

IEF Examinations (IEF200)

IEF Examinations is a four-day course for participants who are familiar with the principles of digital forensics. Participants will learn to use Magnet IEF to recover key artifacts from computers and smartphones.
