New XRY 8.1.2: Unlock Samsung Galaxy (Exynos) Devices

New XRY 8.1.2 is now available — with added support for Samsung Galaxy S7/S8/S9 and A & J series with Exynos chipsets, a new option for radically faster targeted iOS extractions, 10 to 15 times faster extractions of selected newer Android devices, and more.

Release highlights:

Support for Samsung Galaxy S7/S8/S9 and A & J series: We are happy to announce that XRY now supports physical extraction of locked Samsung Galaxy devices with Exynos chipsets: S7/S8/S9 and A & J series.

Rapid, triage iOS extractions: A new XRY extraction profile called “Apple iOS Targeted Extraction” now lets you perform rapid, targeted extractions of iOS devices. With the new profile, you can select to extract only the type of data you need for your investigation and get results in five minutes or less in most cases. Choose categories including calls, contacts, messages, calendar and installed apps.

Dramatically faster Android extractions: XRY now extracts selected newer Android devices 10 to 15 times faster than previous versions. Android logical file system extractions on newer devices are also much faster.

Improved Spreadtrum chipset support: XRY now offers improved extracting and decoding support for the Spreadtrum 6531 chipset, often found in ”burner” or feature phones.
