Oxygen Forensic© Detective v.17.1 is now available and includes the following key features:
- Automatic detection of connected devices. The Device Extractor now supports automatic detection of connected devices. Upon launching Device Extractor, it will display the available details of any connected device along with the supported data extraction methods. This enhancement simplifies the extraction process and saves investigators valuable time.
- Enhanced passcode brute force module. Now KeyDiver can find passcodes to decrypt containers and partitions protected with VeraCrypt and Huawei HiSuite backups. Moreover, support for NTLM hashes has been added, enabling users to recover passwords for Windows OS user accounts. This facilitates the decryption of OS data and any third-party applications linked to the recovered password.
- Import of TikTok account data. Oxygen Forensic® Detective v.17.1 supports the import and parsing of TikTok account data. The extracted categories include information about the account owner’s authorization history, the last known location, followers and subscriptions, direct messages, blocked users, posts, search history, and more. Adding a new source for a popular app is essential to help investigators solve their cases.
- Enhanced drone support. In Oxygen Forensic® Detective v.17.1, we introduced support for custom-built drones based on the ArduPilot. Now users can import ArduPilot log data in BIN and TLOG formats and parse the detailed drone flight history. We have also added the ability to import and parse drone logs in the AWM format. Adding these enhancements is instrumental when improving the efficiency and effectiveness of investigations.
- Selective malware scanning. Oxygen Forensic® Detective v.17.1 allows selective file scanning for malware in the Files section, allowing investigators to save time by narrowing their focus to the analysis of the most critical and relevant data. The Malware module is available free of charge.
