The New Passware Kit Recovers Passwords For MacOs Mojave And MS Office 2019

Passware releases a major update to its flagship software product for encrypted evidence discovery and decryption – Passware Kit Forensic 2018 v3. It features password recovery for macOS Mojave keychains, MS Office 2019 files, and QuickBooks 2019 databases.

Passware Kit Forensic 2018 v3 also introduces password recovery for Bitcoin Electrum wallets, 1Password OPVault and Online databases, and hard disks protected with Symantec Endpoint Encryption.

    Support for MS Office 2019
    Passware Kit recovers passwords for documents and files from MS Office 2019, including Word, Excel, VBA, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, and OneNote.

    Support for QuickBooks 2019
    Password protection is now removed instantly from QuickBooks 2019 databases, including Enterprise edition.

    Management improvements for Passware Kit Agents
    The new Passware Kit provides tools necessary for easy management of Passware Kit Agent clusters.

    Detailed information on each Passware Kit Agent is now displayed, including performance and hardware information and an overall summary for all of the Agents connected.

    It is also now possible to sort and filter the list of Passware Kit Agents based on their performance and status.

    Password recovery for Bitcoin Electrum wallets
    In addition to password recovery for Bitcoin Core and Blockchain.info wallets, Passware Kit 2018 v3 works on Bitcoin Electrum wallet files. The recovery speed is about 2,900 passwords per second on a single NVIDIA GTX 1080 GPU.

    Password recovery for Symantec Endpoint disks
    Passware Kit 2018v3 introduces password recovery for hard disk images protected with Symantec Endpoint Encryption. The recovery speed is about 9,500 passwords per second on a single NVIDIA GTX 1080 GPU.

    Password recovery for 1Password OPVault and Online databases
    Passware Kit now recovers passwords for 1Password for Windows databases: OPVault and Online, revealing both master and other accounts’ passwords.

    Improved support for Tableau Password Recovery (TPR)
    Passware Kit Forensic 2018 v3 improves support for Tableau Password Recovery accelerator (TPR) by no longer requiring administrator privileges for Passware Kit Agent.

    Passware Kit Forensic can now leverage locally-installed TPR hardware directly without relying on Passware Kit Agent.

    TACC1441 hardware accelerator is no longer supported in this version.

    Timeout setting for batch password recovery
    We have re-introduced the “timeout” setting for batch password recovery in Passware Kit 2018 v3.

    It is now possible to limit the time that Passware Kit spends trying to find a password for any given file.

    Save and load Encryption Analyzer search results
    A list of encrypted items detected by the built-in Encryption Analyzer module can now be saved and loaded at any time for further analysis and decryption of any items detected.
