Is there any particular reason there is no apprenticeships in computer forensics?

Just wondered what people thought on the subject.

Confidentiality of the information involved is one aspect. Risk in the event of an error is another It has a high investment in the agency for little return as most interns would go somewhere else when the internship is finished. And there are plenty of more experienced folks "in the wings" wanting to get in.

No doubt some of the others on the forum will be able to add to that.

That all makes sense, I have been contacted by others members by pm and think I have my answers now. Feel free to discuss in more detail if desired

I think University is the best way towards a career in the field my self and it is the way I am heading.

protiviti seem to offer a year long placement as part of a sandwich degree.

http//www.protiviti.co.uk/portal/site/pro-gb/

see careers > graduate program

unfortunately for me i found this information too late and am currently undertaking a placement that is not related to forensics (
