Hello Jamie. I know you're going to say hello. I would feel left out if you didn't.
It's late and I have a few questions for those of you that are attending or using the online courses at Champlain College. Living in Kansas it would be impractical to move to Vermont to continue my education. I currently have an AS in Computer Information Systems. My employer has a healthy program for tuition reimbursement. I would be fool not to utilize this program. Washburn University has a Criminal Justus degree program here, but my concern would be mixing the two schools curriculums to obtain my degree. Are all of the class available online at Champlain College, specifically the BS degree in Computer and Digital Forensics?
Thank you.
Craig
Well, hello then! 🙂
'Fraid I can't help with your enquiry though…
Jamie
Hi Craig,
Champlain offers an associates degree in Computer and Digital Forensics (2yrs), a Bachelors (4yrs) and a Professional Certification (eight of the core courses). I am enrolled and all seems good in terms of access, content and instructor availability…ideal if you are working.
Everything is offered online if you so choose…
Hope it helps,
Andrew.
I am enrolled as well but will not start until next month in the prof. cert. program.
I am also in the CDFT program at champlain college. I expect to get my Bachelors by next christmas. I have enjoyed it a great deal. Though most of my experience has been on campus, I have taken some online courses. I am currently taking two of my courses online and they do work out well. Great instructors and fun courses with plenty of support if you need it.
Just to add my two cents 🙂
Thanks for your replies. I haven't decided what to do about the cost of online tuition yet.
Hello,
I'm new to this site and I hope nobody minds that I jump into this discussion. 😀 I'm going to be starting the BS program at Champlain and am pretty excited about it. Are those of you currenty attending enjoying the program?
Absolutely! It's a really great program. You learn a lot of field information. It isn't all about the textbooks.
how hard is the course? Do you study a lot ?
I apoligize for taking so long to respond.
Well, certainly the course work can be challenging and I take 5 courses per semeseter, but I am doing well. I have two small kids so time is the biggest issue and since each course requires its own amount of time for classes and homework I do not often have time for much else during the semester. If you take less classes per semester you will have more time, but the classes are definitely manageable.
