Hi Everyone.

Do any of you know of any Computer Forensics Lab Manuals. I want to delve into this subject matter further. I have completed my Masters in Information Assurance and want to do some hands on work. I have not seen any Computer Forensics Lab Manuals per se.

Do any of you know of one?

Thanks

Elizabeth

Forensic labs build their policy and procedure manuals up over a long time as they build up expertise, or based on the expertise of the people who set up the lab. A fully developed lab manual would be way too valuable to simply hand them out. Good luck in your search, but I wouldn't expect you to have much success.

Basically what I am looking for is little practice exercises. Not so much a policy and procedure manual, just practice exercises — is there such a book?

Check the other threads here on the forums where people have provided links to sample forensic images for people to work on.

The Encase EnCE study guide has practice exercises and comes with a limited version of Encase for you to do them with.
