The test is not difficult to pass, but alot of the material is a little wierd. I would recommend taking the class from someone, I used infoSec, but theres alot of other trainers out there.

Of those of you that have taken the class through a vendor in the US, which vendors do a good job teaching the subject matter?

I found the CEH book by EC-Council online and purchased it for very little money, but the CHFI is impossible to find. Also, I tried to contact Element K, the local distributor for EC-Council but have yet to hear back from them. Anyone know where the course material can be purchased from?

Thanks,
John

Borninfire, yes and no. The first link goes directly to Element K's website. They are the providers of the official course book here in the states. The second link is to the Syngress Study Guide which is different than the one provided in class. I have not seen either book so I couldn't tell you if one is better than the other.

If it is anything like EC-Council's CEH courseware, Element K's version typically will have the slides that were discussed in the course. Unfortunately, the CEH courseware had numerous errors and received poor reviews on Amazon.
