Looking to go to training courses for MSAB XRY Certification and XRY Intermediate. I can't find prices on the website. I also can't find other third-party vendors that offer training for XRY. Does anyone know how much MSAB XRY training is? Are there any other training companies apart from MSAB that offer XRY training?

Thanks!

I don`t think companies list their training/products cost/prices online, but you can contact "Anna Maija" for more details.

good luck

For those who have XRY, is the license only good for 1 year, or only good for one year of updates and continues to work after that?

No, you need the product licensed to be able to use it. If you let the license lapse, you can't use it. cry

Thanks Hectic. Too much of a nut to have to fade each year. But a lot of companies are heading this direction.

On behalf of MSAB - this statement is incorrect.

The XRY license is perpetual. If you buy it, then it will continue to work forever on the version of software valid at the time of expiry. In other words, you can pay for 1 year and then use it forever if you want to. Naturally, it has a shelf life of usefulness.

The current version of XRY is v7.8.1 - so if your license expired today, then you can continue to extract phones on XRY v7.8.1 for as long as you want. It will not stop working just because the license has expired. It will however not allow you to upgrade to newer versions of XRY.

The mobile phone business is fast moving and new devices, operating systems and apps are coming out all the time. It is a very expensive business to do proper forensic research and development because an original of every device needs to be acquired and tested.

We encourage all of our customers to renew their license in order to be able to benefit from the 8 updates we put out for XRY each year, with new devices, apps and exploits, along with specialist cables.

I think most vendors work the same way in the digital forensics space. It is unlikely that many vendor tools would stop working completely when their license expires. The question is whether you can afford not to have the latest support by renewing the license?
