Good evening,

Would you like to join the beta team and test new features for a forensic toolkit designed for microblogging social media investigations?

This is an excellent way to learn about online digital investigations, cloud forensics, and current challenges in forensic computing. Whilst we can't offer payment, we will provide free commercial licences to the toolset, and your feedback will help shape the development of the system to benefit other investigators and labs.

Please visit http//www.tumblrforensics.com and use the contact form to get in touch.

Kind regards,
Cath

Is this a scam? This was posted around 12 hours ago, and then removed. Now it's reposted with no explanation. Provided my details before on the web site but got no email back. Something's amiss…

Good evening Jonathan,

It's no scam - nor are the half dozen other forensic software solutions we have engineered an in use by over 400 analysts and labs around the world -) we did put up a post this morning but unfortunately had to take it down again rather sharpish' as it transpires you're not allowed to simply give away free licences on this forum!

I've checked the website database and can see you completed the online form at 0928hrs and an automated email with unique download link was generated and dispatched. It may have been caught by your spam filters - if nothing has come through, please send me a quick PM and I'll provide a direct link.

Regards,
Cath

p.s I am assured that beta testing is allowed

If by that you mean promotional posts are against the site's acceptable use policy, that's correct.

As you know from my message to you earlier today, genuine requests for beta testers do fall within the scope of acceptable use and I'm pleased to see that your beta testing plans coincide so neatly with receipt of that message.

Has anyone used this software for Tumblr forensics? I have tried to download the software and their website indicates a link has been sent but I haven't gotten anything.

Hello Cath,

I followed the link and sent you a message using the contact form. However, after clikcing "send" I did not get any message saying thanks for your message, etc. Instead I just got an error message below asking me if I really want to leave life chat.

Looks to me that your contact form needs some "improvment" 😉

Can you confirm that you have received my message ?

Thanks in advance

Daniel
