Hello all. First post here.

I have an interest in digital forensics and I come from a recommendation in the /r/computerforensics subreddit. I graduated from college in 2012 after studying Criminal Justice and Psychology. I have just recently gained an interest in this field and would like some direction on how to proceed. I am willing to go back to school if necessary for learning some sort of programming but I was wondering if there are any sort of entry level positions to gain knowledge in this field (or even internships or something). If I need to head back to school, what exactly would a company be looking for on my resume that shows I have the educational background? I have heard so many conflicting thoughts on this that I was hoping to get a little more knowledge from you all as I look towards a career change for me.

I have been working with the Geek Squad at Best Buy for a two years now and after being passed twice over for promotion, I do not want to stick around in what may be a dead end job while life passes me by.

Any guidance that you can provide is wholly appreciated and I am willing to answer any further questions you may have. Thank you.

Hi All
There is a huge opportunity for this in Africa. I am an Msc Forensics and Security graduate hoping to setup a consultancy in Ghana.

if anyone wants to partner he or she is welcome. I know this may sound crazy but the chances here are better than Europe where firms are just not hiring.

I have moved back from the UK after graduation and hoping to do this but I can't do it alone.
Let me know if you are interested as you can always bail if you think it is a waste of time but I don't know of any Forensics Lab in West Africa and that's how large the market is here.

Get in touch at khnart @ yahoo.com if you are interested
