While I have an ACE accreditation and Cyphertrace Blockchain Examiner I find myself in the position of having to choose one accreditation to pursue. In your experience would you recommand I pursue something that I have a strong interest in or should I go for the least specialised certification and pursue the GREM at a later time? Any insight or other suggestion would be welcomed.
Since you have no hands-on experience, getting the certs is reasonable path.
GREM & GCFA/GCFE are different paths.
You can definitely go GCFA/GCFE, but the initial job you most likely get will have little to do with malware analysis.
If you can afford it, take the GREM and one of the GCFA/GCFE.
Start with the GCFE; build your foundation.
