Hi can anyone tell me what it means if I find SMS messages in the Android Call log database and not in the native messages? Does this mean the SMS has been sent using 4G/wifi instead of cellular data?

I have a string of messages marked as deleted in native messages which can also be found in the android call log database but I have more messages in the android call log database which aren't in the native messages.

Thanks!

After a bit of testing, I believe the SMS messages contained in the Android CallLog database are the stored previews of messages that are received which are displayed to the user when the notification pops up at the top of the screen, that's why you only see the first 50 characters of the SMS message in that database.

If there are messages in the calllog database that aren't in the normal SMS database, I'd say that's an indication the messages have been deleted.

This probably requires more testing/confirmation though
