dd over ADB is perfect for any rooted phone with known user lock.

If not rooted or the user lock is not known, you got minimal chances for data acquisition with free tools.

Hi. You can use Belkasoft Acquisition Tool to get the image. This application is free.

@em-belkasoft: good tool, if you got full access to the phone, but what if not ?! 🙂

The OP didn't ask this question. He/she simply wanted a tool for capturing images from Android devices and I provided that. 😉

@em-belkasoft: in my understanding "android phone image" isn't exactly images from an android phone, but more a physical or decrypted filesystem dump of the phone...
