So I want to ask you guys what would be the preferred or best way to extract messenger application contents from different apps and devices.Â
What would be the go-to tools or software, free or commercial to extract all messenger applications content efficiently?
Thank you for your reply
My recommendations are Cellebrite UFED, Oxygen Forensic Detective, Compelson Mobiledit Forensic Express Pro, Belkasoft Evidence Center, Hancom WITH, MSAB, Magnet Forensics products and some forensic scripts from GitHub.
There is no such tool as one-for-everything, don't look for it 🙂

so with these combined, you can see the content of most of the chat applications ?
Yes. For most of the cases these will do it, still expect some situations with no solution...
The biggest problem is the decrypted acquisition, not some tool to analyze the decrypted sqlite databases.
As for Apple devices, there is a nice vendor with nice products, which I forgot to mention: Elcomsoft

The best way would require you to use several tools to acquire and analyze data from the applications and devices and then compare and integrate the presented results.Â
Belkasoft Evidence Center should be one of those tools in your arsenal.Â
Thank you for all the replies!
