From my experience, Advanced Logical (Method 1 and 2) should get you WhatsApp Messages.

It becomes more difficult on Android devices.

@droopy did you mean pulling the WhatsApp db files over ADB in case of rooted Android devices ?! How to handle non-rooted ones ?! )

What about Apple, BB or MS devices ?! If somebody knows free acquisition alternatives for these, feel free to post them )

Old topic but reviving due to some ongoing work. Are whatsapp messages on IOS devices not encrypted or i should say the tables that hold the messages? I never noticed this until recently

I get a ton of iOS devices and always extract them with PA advanced logical method 1. WhatsApp is contained in that extraction and it’s not encrypted.
