Most forensic applications do a decent job sorting, filtering, categorizing, identifying, and presenting the acquired data, but I am especially interested in how well these tools perform when it comes to obtaining access to locked iPhones and Android Smartphones. Moreover I'd be interested in what information can be extracted in the BFU, AFU, and unlocked states. Your input is greatly appreciated.
UFED is pretty good at android devices and ok at iOS (BFU/AFU and brute force).
Graykey in my opinion is the best for iOS and its ok at Androids.

@jayd You should use Cellebrite UFED Premium version to able unlock iPhones. In other case you do not have possibility to unlock iPhones, even old models, like iPhone 6 or 7. The same situation for Android phones - only Premium version could unlock new models.
