I really like the Lenovo thinkpads. You can swap a second hard drive in for the optical drive. Sager (sold by many resellers) is good too, but you'll pay a premium for the largest model that has room for two drives. It is really designed for gamers, so a lot of your money goes into graphics processor. They are very big as well.
