ECFE Certification, Anyone heard of it?

I recently took a training class from Infosec Institute (http//www.infosecinstitute.com) on computer forensics.
The class was ok, the teacher seemed to know his stuff and it prepped you to take an examination for a cert called the ECFE (http//www.ecfe.org).
I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of this cert. I did some research into it prior to taking the class and it looked legit, I was told it was accredited by the Univeristy of Arizona (which it turns out, it isn't)

Anyone out there dealt with either ECFE.org or Infosec Institute before?

On a seperate note I'd like some feedback on the C|HFI certification from anyone out there too. Is it worth getting?

Well the lack of leads me to believe that no-one has had teh same ill-fate that I have..

On my second note. I took the test for the C|HFI and passed it, wasn't that bad.

Anyone want to chime in on the FTK certification? I am considering it and want to hear what people think of it and whether it's worth the time and effort.

Never heard of it until I read it in this post. I do like the practical aspect.

You are going to find a new certification every week that is being offered. I prefer to stick with the ones that are most well known like the CCE and EnCE. Just my opinion.

You are apparently making reference to the ACE certification being offered by AccessData the manufacturer of the FTK Suite of tools. I am considering taking it. That has to be a fairly long term decision because there are prerequisites that you can only get at Access Data and as you know, there can be months between times you have an opportunity to attend. It is a two part test, a written and a practical. Only Access Data tools can be used. They are clearly working to give this one a lot of standing and credibility. Prometric proctors the written and AcessData proctors the practical. As I recall, you have 6 weeks to complete the practical. The require you to get recertified every two years.

Whether or not it will be worth anything – I don't know.
