Hey, everyone,

Quick questions here.. I imaged a apple macbook last week and now I need to process the e-mail on it (from Mac's Mail program) all in EMLX format. Ideally, I would like to migrate it over to a Microsoft format such as PST. Any food for thought here??

I tried using Aid4Mail, however, some of the attachments migrate over as empty. Which I have verified is not case on the original. So seems to be a problem with that program.

Thanks!!

During your process, remember to play devil's advocate. If you use this or any migration utility, you'll want to make *very certain* you can reverse the process and return the converted documents to mirror the original evidence files. That is make sure that translating from EMLX to EML/PST to EMLX returns you to the original state. And at the least, check the subset of evidence that you are interested in and make sure the human-readable text and any attachments are in tact … that's an easy way to thwart arguments against erroneous conversions.

Hi..

I am also a user of Mac OS X Tiger email, few days back due to the change of my working profession i have to change my email environment too.

That means i am also in need of a tool that converts my EMLX emails in PST, then i just searched on Google and found a relevant tool that is EMLX to PST Converter.

Software completely helps me out to convert all my EMLX messages to Outlook PST. Thank God roll

Get the tool from http//download.cnet.com/Birdie-EML-to-PST-Converter/3000-2369_4-75275300.html

Hope it will help you too, Must try it.. Good Luck D

If you had access to Nuix or other data processing tools you could always process the emlx files in and then export out to PST.

+1 for Nuix ProofFinder. Great tool for $100 IMHO.

Agreed. Nuix's Proof Finder will allow you to import it in one format, and export it in an other.

Presuming that the tool used to convert from original, in what scenario would "revers[ing] the process and return the converted documents to mirror the original evidence files" would be required?

A few questions and a note. 😯

Question #1
Have you checked the date when Logg posted that advice?

Question #2
Please rate the probabilities that he will reply after 3 years.

Question #3
Please rate the probabilities that the OP davnads hasn't already solved one way or the other (and BTW without reporting any feedback for the given suggestions) his problem since May 2009….

Note #1
I tend to suspect, when a new user joins only to post on a three years old thread to report his experience with this (or that wink ) marvellous Commercial tool and how useful it was to solve a problem, that it is actually SPAM.
