EnCase v5 and FTK and VMWare

Dongles will not be a problem I have an AccessData and EnCase dongle for each of the 17 PC's. Yep it was an awful lot of money!!

I'm sure it was!! D

Then, if you do have all the dongles you need, I believe all you need is VMWare Player in every computer you want to run FTK and then proper configure it for each student. The configuration file created should update every time the student closes the VM, and hence the changes would be saved after each session.

Thanks for the reply iruiper but that is not the problem

… I managed to get the AccessData dongle to work. VMWare creates a 2 Port Hub, I have a 512MB Thumb drive in one and the license dongle in the other however on my first test when I run FTKi and FTK I go through the procedure of adding evidence I choose logical drive and then the thumb drive from the drop down, FTK crashes at this point and FTKi crashes as soon as I get to the end and press the Start button.
