I was wondering if anyone had attempted to acquire an Android galaxy tab/ or any other android device using encase V7, V7 is touted as being able to acquire and analyze android enabled devices at the moment i do not have access to any of the phone tablet specific tools so am limited to using Encase.

I did a logical acquisition of a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (GT-P6800) this morning. It was automatically recognised by EnCase as an Android device. EnCase will tell you to make sure that the Android device is in USB debugging mode. EnCase will tell you how to do that. The imaging was very quick and easy as I only wanted call logs, sms and mms entries. The final reporting was presented quite well. Give it a go!
