Hello,

here is a scenario. USB device formatted (exFat) on a MAC and week later attached to Windows computer. Usually, the "System Volume Information" (SVI) created by Windows gives me a clue when this volume was created. however, since the SVI was only created when the device was attached a week later to a Windows computer. Any idea how to find out when the exFat volume on the external USB device was created?

Does the volume have a label?
Labels are a "special" entry in the Fat (at least on Fat12/16/32) not unlike a directory or a file, so they have metadata like creation date/time.
