Just a quick thought. Could you convert the DMG to iso then mount in osfmount?
Plenty of guides online on converting DMG files to iso.

Usually no.
The "dmg" format is used on MACs for both "disk" and "disc" images.
Most of the tools around will convert the latter kind, "disc" image to .iso (which is usually a "disc" image) but will give forfait on "disk" images (that would be in Windows ".img", i.e. "disk" images).
BUT this should work

FTK imager can open (add image as evidence) and extract from DMG images with underlying mac-based file systems. 7-zip can also extract files from DMG images.
I tried opening them on FTK, its showing unrecognized file system for both the patition.
