Has anybody heard if the above will happen.

Are there any ongoing discussions regarding this

If so when is it likely to happen ?

Alistair that looks like a US centric matter as opposed to UK.

There is the issue of creating a Forensic Science Regulator which is needed since the government sold off (in effect) the FSS thus impact on competition in the UK. The Regulator though will not licence or certificate an individual or company. It was told to me that the Regulator is ex CC or ACC of West Yorkshire in post for about 5-years.

The document about the Regulator did refer to CRFP and whether individuals wished to voluntarily join it. As far as I understood there is no intention to create Licensing.

Does anyone have an update on the status of CRFP? When it first came out a couple of years back it looked as though it had the backing and resources which meant it was going to be a very worthwhile, if not necessary, requirement for CF practioners in the UK.

But I understand that there have been some issues since then. Anyonce care to offer an update?
