Forensic Project

Hi everyone, i was hoping someone could point me in the correct direction regarding scripting for uploading a forensically sound image files (.ewf/.aff) onto a remote Linux server i have set up. Ive looked at various bash scripts but seem to be getting no where. 

Ideally, i would like to upload an image of a USB to a secure sanitized SFTP area, users and permissons have been granted. However when I try to run these simple scripts from a windows pc nothing happens?
