geolocation on Android and Google

Dear all,

I had access to an gmail account, choosed maps. There I choosed my movements.

So i saw that in a day there were no position or travel registered. But In the logs of the phone the Imei is present in a particular place.

I also downloaded the google takeout focusing on maps. And there were various month missings.

So, How works the geolocation on this smartphone?
