Hello everyone,
I have been doing some research with Macintosh computers and the HFS+File system recently. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good tools for mounting HFS+ disk images in windows?
I am trying to run software that creates html reports on all files within a mounted drive. Normally for an NTFS or FAT raw image, e01, ad1, etc. I am mounting the images in ftk imager or mount image pro and setting the path for the software to the mounted drive letter. With HFS+ partitions I believe that once it is mounted Windows simply does not know what to do with it (for the lack of a better term haha).
According to books I have read on the subject it seems the best way to examine HFS+ partitions is with a Mac forensic machine. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything on the subject.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
Have you tried running HFSExplorer?

Free and runs only in read-only mode.
I have not run it against a forensic image, but you can try first running HFSExplorer, mounting the image in FTK imager and then seeing if your HFS partition is recognized.
On the other hand, why not launch FTK Imager (assuming when you say "image" you are talking about a forensic image) and have FTK imager give you a listing of all files in that image?
Other HFS readers for Windows that I have heard of are
TransMac
and
MacDrive
Hope I understood your question )

I use MacDrive - this works really well as does FTS Imager
Thats if your Image is in DMG format??
