I have started to write a Msc fit project paper on data recovery from second hand memory cards. I want to see what is left on these cards and just what steps and experience a neer do well needs to take to recovery useful data to mis use. And would appreciate any assistance or advice on offer which might help me achieve a pass. idea

I presume you already have planned out your Dissertation timeline.
ACM , springer is your friend
1.Start with a litrature review, findout what has already been written in this field that is PEER reviewed, no wikipedia crap.
2. Clearly label your memory cards , where they are from, date etc
3. Follow good forensic procedures, as far as possible.
