A case of a horse vs a car with Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) and a front
radar unit for Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is in our lab. Driver assistance systems based
on sensors and radar increase.
The case is delicate as both traffic participants made mistakes, so besides mobiles analyzed
we want to learn if the frontside radar eye was able to give evidence of the horses position
in a moment of time. Horses dont have car log electronics to read out 😉 and the shaking
movement of the horse driver and his mobile are to weak and not accurate enough to
define the location in a 10x10cm range.
