Well if I actually get into the field as I would like, I will certainly share my experiences/successes/hurdles.

It is just such a fascinating field, and I have always been interested in knowing exactly how computers store / retrieve data and how they work at the nuts and bolts level, so this seems like a good fit.

I think you have enough to write a paper calling attention already.
