Here is a piece of news that was on the BBC in the UK. Its a 3mb .wmv file, but it shows you how bad things can be and then still get your data back, so if anyone out there thinks that there is no chance, then perhaps it would be worth thinking again.

Sadly for me it was my brother!
FYI He is now an American citizen, no longer a Brit!
