I'm trying to branch out by reading a book on Intelligence Analysis but as you might expect, it's geared for the military and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with DFIR. There is little value in this particular book for me, but I'd think there would be other books on Intelligence that would be more beneficial to someone who is into DFIR.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

It depends a bit on what you're looking for (high-level, or more operational), but this one is reasonably good

"Structured Analytic Techniques for Intelligence Analysis"
By Richards J. Heuer Jr.

It's pretty basic, and shows techniques like
# Scenarios and Indicators
# Hypothesis Generation and Testing
# Cause and Effect
# Challenge Analysis
# Decision Support
# Decomposition and Visualization

Hop this helps,

- Roland

I just got done checking it out on Amazon and it definitely seems to be what I was looking for. Thanks!
