why would you buy an overpriced e-reader?
Because it's going to be awesome!!!
I'm getting one for fathers day. Can't wait!
I have been pretty back and forth on it but I may end up taking the splurge as well. A integrated camera would have been a huge plus with Skype and such. It appears based on some of the reviews there are some issues with the Wireless connectivity.
I'm curious as to the footprint the IPAD leaves as well.
I think I may hold out for the new macbook pro which hopefully comes soon)
I know it is all rumour for the time being, but there is a strong possibility that iPhone OS 4.0 will support multi-tasking.
I believe there is some kind of press briefing next Thursday, so hopefully we should get a better idea of what the iPhone and iPad will be capable of in the next OS revision.
I'm holding out for an Android Based ADAM or something similar.. Fight the Power!!
I'm so with you on that!!
I thought a
Will be interesting to see if the 3G iPads have the same kind of connectivity issues as are being reported on the WiFi version.
I think given the sheer number of these that were sold on the first day means that the iPad is going to be encountered by Forensic Examiners at some point in the near future. My approach is to be prepared so I will be getting one as soon as they are released.
It appears like being a little toughy thingy

A whole new meaning to the adjective "senseless". 😯

Reminds me of the Japanese guy that took a chainsaw to a "Flower Power" iMac when they were released.
Apparently he didn't like the design so he thought he would show Apple his disgust.
C-R-A-Z-Y!!
I think I agree with most people… I'm personally a PC Guy, not a fan of Apple (they make lovely stuff, but the closed system sucks balls!) But I think I might splurge on one D
A good thing about them being released this side of the pond later than the US is we might get a glimpse of what can be done to them when hacked… that will be where the real fun starts ) I seen on engadget.com that somebody already got access to the root kit within a day (I think thats what he got access to, can't remember, only skinned over the article) if you can hack them easily enough and beat the closed system somewhat, it will be cool.
Also I seen VNC running on them, which might come in handy to check your win PC.

Or just use LogMeIn in full screen mode on your iPad to access your Windows 7 PC. Best of both worlds, especially if Windows 7 touchscreen mode works through this set up.
