I have a Chinese iPhone clone, model A1241. When the phone is opened it states that it is a “PX Phone” with “mode 4GS” by “Manufacturer Sciphone Inc. 2010”.

I was able to do a simple acquisition with FTK Imager and found that it just shows up like a thumb drive, FAT 12.

Has anyone worked with this type of phone before? Does anyone have an idea on how to get to the OS?

…I am unable to check right now but I have a feeling that XRY can deal with these…….may be worth emailing their tech support

Yeah, all of these knock-offs tend to all be based on the same family of chips (MTK). XRY tends to do a pretty good job with these handsets.

Thanks, I'll give the XRY a try.

Try UFED too, it has native support for an iPhone clone under the MTK menu

jbarrett1484,

I'd be interested to know what XRY extracts for you. I worked closely with the MTK devices last year whilst on a university work placement and am making a tool this year in my project for these devices.
