I found an illegal image on a suspects phone. It's file path is. /Suspects iPhone/documents/attachments/filename_embedded.jpg.
How do I explain the way in which this file made it into the phone I.E. Kik, snapchat etc…

That looks like a path on your examination machine to the file. What was the path the file was extracted from on the device? Or is it shown as this? What software/hardware did you capture the device data with?

UFED Logical was used. And yes when you right click from the image and go to file; thats the file path. Sorry for delay been slammed.
