hello and good evning all
is there anyway to extract app password from android database apps like ( facebook messenger ) if yes is there any opensource tools or i should buy some tool
please i need full details
or this can't happen without reverse engineering !!
any one here
No, there is no way to just extract the password and use this to login to Facebook. The Password is not stored in plaintext on the device.
However, the app stores a token which can be used to access Facebook (provided that it is still valid). For the Facebook Katana App, you would find it under com.facebook.katana/databases/prefs_db - /auth/user_data/fb_token
The easiest way would probably be to use Cellebrite Physical Analyser to get the token from an extraction and then use Cellebrite Cloud Analyzer to access the data.
Oxygen Forensic Detective can also extract Facebook token from Android devices as well as from iOS devices and Windows Phone dumps. This token can be used to acquire all Facebook data with Cloud Extractor. But please be noted that the software is for forensic use only.
Will oxygen find the token for say facebook from cellebrite dump? Or can we manually find it as listed above.
