Hi. I'm new to all of this and I've been trying to do some learning. I was hoping someone could in simple terms explain what ISO 17020 & 17025 are in regards to a digital forensics lab and how ISO accreditation is of benefit?

Yeah that's very simple.
Its a standard that meant to be used in manufacturing critical items and has been applied to something very badly. It is of basically no benefit to a DF and lab in a lot of cases makes work produced inferior to the standard being implemented
