Monitoring and security of wireless network

Hello,I have a question and I'm not sure the question belongs to the forum but here goes the question anyway.Wireless networks are of various types, but local and regional WLAN and WMAN is most common. The use of wireless networks has grown greatly in recent years.But my question is about security and monitoring of wireless networks has also been improved and if so, which products are widely used for monitoring wireless network! How is monitored information and also to network in a wireless network?Thanks
