This may not be a strictly Forensic problem, but I am looking for answers and this struck me as the place to go. Hopefully someone else has had this experience and found a remedy. I have been presented with the task of copying an extraction from USB provided by a Local PD for Prosecution. The data that needs to be copied includes a PDF report that is 8.87GB and is accompanied by 319 GB of associated files. A Cellebrite Reader Report and UFDR at 180 GB and an LP1 file at 15.75 GB. The total of data to be copied is 513GB.

So far, the copy has been running since 06/18/2025 @11:00 hours local. It has run uninterrupted until this morning, 06/20/2025 @9:00 hours local. The progress shown by Teracopy is at 56GB/10%.

I'm using a Talino machine with 256 GB RAM and Dual 2.10 GHz Processors to make the copy. The machine has Windows 11 PRO.

This seems like an extraordinarily long time for the machine to be running and only be at 10%. There are no other applications running on the machine. I'm stuck while waiting for this copy to finish before I work on anything else. I certainly don't wont the copy to blow up and have to start again.

Any suggestions or advice/explanations would be greatly appreciated

@rsteller43 I wish I had a TX1. Can't convince them to buy one of those for us.
