Hello,

Here are some good websites to explore

https://forensiccontrol.com/resources/free-software/

http//www.deftlinux.net/

I recommend downloading the DEFT Help Manual and follow through the entire process. You will learn quite a bit about forensic imaging, creation of indexes and forensic analysis from the manual.

I also recommend using the forensic tools from the above websites on your own computer and phone as a great method to learn about forensics.

Regards,

Larry

Nasz,
Since you probably have more questions than answers right now and do not have an unlimited budget I have an unusual suggestion. There are a number of training startup companies in India that provide online training at very reasonable costs (One company was providing CEH for $300 if you were not calling from the US). It is my suspicion that most of them have taken courses from other more established training providers and then built their courses from what they learned. With that said the content is still relevant and would probably give you a starting point from which to base your thinking.

Another idea is to take a few of the forensics courses on Udemy.com. There are a number of introductory courses on computer forensics that could get you started.

Moo.
