I'm seeing software out there for $30 to do this (including using my NVidia card for CUDA acceleration), but is there any open source tool to do the same thing?

Hi Marc,

Give Hashcat a go https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=example_hashes

If you search on the page for 14700 and 14800.

This might be what you are looking for.

If you then look at this link https://github.com/philsmd/itunes_backup2hashcat/ , that should help you get the hash you need to crack.

Thanks for Posting the information above, it worked like a charm and HashCat cracked the password in 0535.

This saved us a lot of trouble. D
