For those with experience with one or both. What are the pros/cons of each.

Assuming forensic suite version of each.

Thanks.

Well the major difference I found is mobiledit is more friendly in use. But the Nokia PM viewer of oxygen is a thumbs up if you get S30/S40 Nokia mobiles. They support almost the same sets.

I own MobileEdit Forensics and Oxygen Forensics 2011 Pro. I'm still new at both and learning, so I'm not an expert at either.

The few times I've used them, I noticed that ME did real well with the older phones and SIM card reading. For todays smartphones, I've had better results with Oxygen. On an iPhone I did recently, Osygen grabbed much more information than ME. Although, on ME's website they mention the limitations on iPhone reading at the moment, so it wasn't a surprise. They're working on it, and I'm sure they'll get more features in that area.

On an Android, I found them to be similar, although I really like how Oxygen grabbed the location information and tied it in with Google maps. Makes for a nice report.

Oxygen seems more feature rich, and I love the built-in SQL Lite reader.

I'm keeping both in my toolkit though. I like both of them; and as I've learned from the more experienced people here, more than one tool is often necessary.

Hope that helps.

Gary
