Hey guys,

I'm brand new here and need your help. According to my research, there are apparently tools to determine what has been changed in a PDF document since the file was created. Unfortunately, I have a Mac and the programs I found were for Windows or other operating systems. Regardless, I don't know enough about it either as I don't know what to look for. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you!

Not Sure if this will help, but one tool is pdf-parser.py, which is a Python script that parses a PDF document to identify the fundamental elements used in the analyzed file. This tool can help you identify PDF documents with unusual or unexpected objects or to classify PDF documents. Another tool is pdftool.py, which is a command-line tool that can check if a PDF contains incremental updates and select the versions you want. It can analyze the changes made to a PDF document over time. Additionally, you can use OSForensics' File Viewer tool to extract all available embedded text from your PDF files and review the extracted text visually, to identify any changes or modifications made to the text content of the PDF document.  PDF files usually contain embedded XML packets, which are designated by bracketed "xap" values, and these XML packet metadata dates are not file system dates but rather date values embedded within PDF files by Adobe software. These metadata dates can provide additional information about the dates and times files were created, modified, or had metadata changed. Good Luck.
