I would predict that reinitializing a RAID array incorrectly could quite possibly result in either A) lost and unrecoverable data or B) data that now becomes increasingly more difficult and frustrating to recover. Simple tests could be performed to substantiate or disprove this. Time permitting, of course. 😉
