Hello all,

I recently attended training that involved reconstructing RAIDs. In the class, we used Encase to do the reconstruction. However, my agency only has FTK, and I do not have a RAID right now that I can try to practice on. Does anyone know if FTK can be used to reconstruct a RAID, and if so how. If not, are there any Open Source tools, preferably Win XP compatible, that can be used. We just cannot afford Encase right now (we can barely afford to keep FTK with the budget cuts, but that's another story…)

Thanks in advance.

Joe

I have not investigated if this capability is in FTK 2, but if you use an older version you will have to utilize a tool like Raid Reconstructor or X-Ways Forensics.

I still use FTK 1.x. I like what I see about RAID reconstructor, I'll look into that one. Thanks.
